CHART PACK:
Victorian Christmas Lady
CROSS STITCH PATTERN DESIGNED BY Shannon Christine Designs
Here's the Victorian Christmas lady, Shannon Christine Designs' portrait in cross stitch of an elegant young lady strolling down a street at Christmas time.
Snow is falling and starting to cover the ground. A lampost sheds a bit of light in the dark. The lady is elegantly clad in a fur lined winter coat, her head protected from the cold with a large hood. She's wearing two layers of skirts, one lined with a large band and a Christmas rose motif. The second layer is green satin lined with a red satin ribbon and embellished with beadwork.
The young lady is carrying a teddy bear - maybe a gift for a child? - as well as a box wrapped with green ribbon. She is obviously on her way to a party.
Shannon Christine's work is an interesting mix of needlework and beading. Her cross stitch charts are remarkably clear to follow. She provides both a color chart and a black and white version where the beadwork and backstitch stand out in color by contrast with the cross stitch and are therefore real easy to read.
