BLACKWORK CHART BY TAM'S CREATIONS 


Even if you've never done a patchwork project, you can follow the step-by-step instructions for making this exciting cushion project that combines both quilting and stitching skills.

The pattern is stitched in  Blackwork technique (counted backstitch) or rather Redwork, since the thread used is a dark red. The background fabric for the stitching is 14ct printed Aida with a floral motif, which provides interesting effects in combination with the stitching. The other fabrics used for the patchwork assembly are solid blue and a small floral pattern but you could use basically any fabrics of your choice that color-coordinate well with the floss you select for your stitching.
