CHART PACK:
A Story Told in Stitches: Family Christmas
COUNTED CROSS STITCH CHART BY AGNES DELAGE-CALVET
Cross stitch designer Agnès Delage-Calvet has come up with a great idea, telling a story that unfolds, ribbon-like, as you stitch it. Once stitched, it can be mounted accordeon-style as it it were a little book with"pages".
A Story told in Stitches is designed as a series and there will be more to come: each will feature a family having fun spending time together.
This first chart features the family getting ready for Xmas. It's chock full of fun detail to stitch such as the tiny pictures on the wall featuring Santa, or the cakes and turkey laid out on the lace tablecloth.
There's a big fire roaring in the fire-place. The dog is safely in the armchair observing all the action. The big boy is writing to Santa, while his younger brother is helping Dad decorate the tree. Mum has put her apron on and is busy baking cakes while little sister is already seated, impatient to have a go at all this delicious food. But hey, where's the cat? Meet it in the next "Story told in stitches"!
