Winged Dreams
CROSS STITCH PATTERN DESIGNED BY Barbara Ana Designs
The design belongs to Barbara Ana's Dreaming Girl series, and this time she has grown colorful wings and turned into a butterfly. In between her delicate antenna is a tiny hat carrying her sunshades.
The young woman's dark tan and long black hair contrasting with her white embroidered blouse, the strong powerful sun, the rich colors, are all evocative of latin America, a region that fascinates the designer and to which she has turned many times in her designs. Prolonging the wings of the butterfly, the layout of the pattern is symetrical with a central stylised sun and a beautiful ark formed by the waxing and weaning positions of the moon.
The cross stitch pattern's sunny colors stand out beautifully against the natural background. The chart lists 15 colors including DMC solid color stranded cotton, 3 DMC Color Variations stranded cotton and 1 light Gold metallic from the Kreinik range.
The finished piece is circular and will fit into an 8 inch (20 cm) embroidery hoop for framing.
A cross stitch pattern by Barbara Ana Designs.
