CROSS STITCH PATTERN, DESIGNED BY Kateryna - Stitchy Princess
This pattern is by Kateryna, a cross stitch designer based in Ukraine, drawing her inspiration in folk tales and nature. In this design she features Rusalka, the Mermaid, reigning over her underwater kingdom, octopus, turtle, seahorses and jellyfishes in attendance. Rows of fun crabs defend the palace and towers on the sea floor, while schools of fish patroll the waves.
We love the way the octopus and jellyfish are depicted, matching the movement in the mermaid's hair.
The pattern comes in lovely pastel colors that blend well with the background fabric, 32 Ct. Permin linen, in color 065/283 Sea Lily.
