Here she mockingly explores the theme of Ultra Violence and the cult following of Stanley Kubrick's 1971 upsettingly violent movie Clockwork Orange. The eyelashes, the glass, the open sardine can and the mouse featured in this design all allude to the film and its stylization of violence. The contrast between the innocent cross stitch depiction of everyday items in this pattern and the brutality of the topic could not be greater.
