CROSS STITCH PATTERN DESIGNED BY Perrette Samouiloff
There is a wonderful Christmas atmosphere in this cross stitch pattern by Perrette Samouiloff. Lace-like snowdrop motifs, sleepy snow covered houses and a pretty Christmas ornament combining natural flowers, red ribbon and hanging hearts create a peaceful background contrasting with the joyful activity of the children.
Indeed everyone is out and about, enjoying the fresh snow: on skis, skate or sleigh, and even in a horse driven carriage. One little girl is sheltering in the park kiosk, her hands full of Christmas gifts.
The cross stitch pattern lists 19 DMC floss colors and is stitched (photo) on Flax (52) linen from Zweigart. You can stitch it on any natural color you wish. If you go for a light color, the lace-like motifs will blend with the background and vivid colors will stand out. If you go for a darker background, the snow motifs will stand out more.
Note: pattern includes just a couple of fractional stitches used for the pistils of the flowers.
Once finished, the stitched area measures about 12 x 15 inch on 28ct.
