CROSS STITCH PATTERN DESIGNED BY GALLIANA
A Sampler featuring no fewer than ten playful cats, nested in flower-like medallions that seem to be growing out of a potted plant. Look close and you will notice tiny birds too.
The pattern is part of Galliana's fun collection of customizable cross stitch charts designed to be stitched in any color combination you fancy. Pictured right shows an example of the pattern stitched on Zweigart 32ct Slate blue Murano over 2. Threads used are DMC 336 Perle 8 for the plant pot & little birds along with navy blue, very light grey and variegated mercerised cottons from Paintbox Threads. Notice how the frame border becomes lace-like in this set of colors, leaving the focus on the cats and items in the darker colors.
As with all Galliana designs, this chart is monochrome and can be stitched using any count of fabric & floss of your choice. It's up to you how the stitched piece will turn out as you can truly personalise the design either stitching it all in one colour, maybe use two contrasting colours, variegated flosses or even a whole range of different colours.
If stitching with one colour on 28 count over 2 using 2 strands, you will require approx 10 skeins of 8metre DMC or equivalent and the design area will be approx 16.5” x 21”.
