There is a lot of attention to detail in Perrette Samouiloff's cross stitch designs. While most of the design is regular cross stitches, some areas are given particular attention. The red holly berries gain extra dimension with French knots while the hearts of the Christmas roses are stitched in a combination of three-quarter cross stitches and French knots.
Finishing tips: As an alternative to framing, the banner will look great hanging on a simple piece of wood. (sew a line at both ends for sliding in the piece of wood). Cut two pieces of wood with a round section (or use a branch). Make a small slit at both ends of the piece used for the top. Use clear transparent nylon thread for hanging. Knot both ends and secure nylon thread ends in the slits.
