In the designer's own words:
“Favourite birds in patchwork plumage feature in this small square design, sitting in their heart-shaped nests that have been decorated with little bows. Simple repeating heart and flower motifs sprinkled all around give a project that is fast to stitch - the finished sampler is light and pretty, lovely for a little girl’s room, perhaps. The strong colour palette would work equally well on cream fabric if preferred. ”
Creative Poppy says:
We like the idea of shaping the twigs of the birds' nests into heart shapes. They form a pretty repeat motif in this sampler.
