COUNTED CROSS STITCH CHART BY PERRETTE SAMOUILOFF
Perrette Samouiloff's delightful Baby Lou is back again... riding her donkey! She's also cuddling her kitten and taking her teddy for a ride on her tricycle. This cross stitch pattern is ideal for celebrating a toddler's achievements, for instance on the occasion of their birthday.
You can customize your stitched pice using the cross stitch alphabet and numbers, and filling the two pretty medallions with names, dates, places, events that have already filled baby's life!
This is the blue monochrome version (there is also a pretty full colour version of this pattern). The monochrome version is ideal for stitching on a pretty printed Aida fabric, such as the one from the DMC impressions range (see photo) with blue polka dots in the background. Of course you can easily change the colors used to match the little girl's bedroom colors.
There are also some extraordinary details in the design such as an exquisite blue tit and some lovely detail in the border motifs, with a combination of French knots and three-quarter stitches in one strand that add extra dimension to the needlework.
