Dear Mr Postman, designed by Kyoko Maruoka of GERA! features a dear little character, in a smart blue uniform, delivering letters by all means: flying an airplane, riding a bicycle and of course also on foot. He's always accompanied by his loyal friend a little dog.
The sender and recipients of the letter are a goat family, the elder one having written the letter and the younger one picking it up from his mailbox.
The pattern is delightful to cross stitch, full of wonderful details such as the dove flying next to the plane, also delivering a message.
The stitched piece is designed in the shape of a letter, with "stamps" and a postmark, hence the frame the designer chose, with an "Airmail" stripe design. This can be achived easily using a white wooden frame and light touches of red and blue pencils or crayons.
One fun idea would be to use some elements of the pattern to send a stitched envelope/letter to a friend. You would just need to skip the cars and trucks in the middle so you could stitch the address of your friend.
