Cornish Folkies
CROSS STITCH PATTERN DESIGNED BY RIVERDRIFT HOUSE
In the designer's own words:
From my home county of Kernow (Cornwall), this design features the famous fictional Ross and Demelza Poldark, surrounded by plenty of Cornish-inspired motifs including the black choughs with their red legs and beaks, and the Cornish flag of St Piran.
Gold and black are the Cornish colours, so again, this set the colour theme against the blues of the ocean and bluebells that make this place so magical.
Creative Poppy says:
The Folkies cross stitch pattern collection designed by Riverdrift House is a series of designs dedicated to different regions, this one featuring Cornwall. The Cornish peninsula is the westernmost part of the island of Great Britain and is surrounded by sea and ocean. Its wind-swept landscape features beautiful blue seas, rugged coastlines, small ports with sturdy stone fishermen's cottages. Here and there you might also stumble across now abandoned tin mines, witnesses of its late 18th, early 19th century industrial development.
