Christmas City
CROSS STITCH PATTERN DESIGNED BY Barbara Ana Designs
A cheerful winter cityscape with a large Christmas tree in the center, and plenty of children playing in the snow. Houses are very colored, evocative of central European towns where houses are painted many colors and town centers are graced with decorations and sweet Christmas market huts. In the sky above, filled with snow-flake like Quaker stars, Santa and his deer appear, flying over the sleepy houses.
Notice designer Barbara Ana's interesting palette of colors. The cheerful design only uses 11 colors, yet the stitched effect is very colorful and appealing, using terra cotta, scandinavian blue, mustard and other subdued colors.
The pattern is stitched on an easy-going natural Lugana fabric. In 25 ct and perfectly regular, it's a pleasure to stitch, even over two threads. And the bonus is, with its blend of cotton and viscose, it will never crease, so finishing the piece, either as a frame or a cushion cover, is super easy.
