Briar Roses & Butterflies
CROSS STITCH PATTERN DESIGNED BY Lesley Teare Designs
A beloved favorite of English gardens, the Briar rose is full of prickles but has a delicious sweet scent. Cross stitch designer Lesley Teare portrays this rose, surrounded by large butterflies, their dark orange wings edged with black and white.
The pattern can be crossed stitched either on a white background, for maximum contrast, or a cream needlework fabric, or natural raw linen.
The design is square and the pattern once cross stitched measures 10 " x 10 " (25 x 25 cm) on 28 ct linen stitched over two (or 14 ct Aida). It is therefore perfectly suitable for a 15 " x 15 " cushion.
