"Geometric shapes are very satisfying to work in counted cross stitch and I designed this sampler, featuring motifs of birds and leaves, to make the most of all the fun. A mix of border designs keeps the theme, and gives the finished work an overall look of a lovely patchwork."

As when creating a patchwork motif on a quilt, where pieces of colored fabric are assembled side by side to create a certain balance, the designer plays with colors, like they were fabrics. This creates a gentle harmony of blue-green and turquoise shades.
The restful palette of colours makes for a pleasant stitch, while the finished piece is very decorative and easy to integrate into your home decor, whether framed or mounted into a cushion pillow.
