The design is particularly decorative. The colors used for stitching are bright and colorful, the plumage of the birds is made of floral motifs (tulips, daisies) and hearts. The colors are joyful, lively, as if greeting the season of love.
If you look closely at the embroidery, you'll realize the designer is reproducing the effects of a painting with ink or watercolor, with colors blending a little and overflowing the frame, and contrasting with the neat black line of the drawing, worked in back stitch. This gives the design a lot of spontaneity.
